December. Cold. Short days… needless to say your house could use a little extra coziness.
With the Christmas holidays approaching we sat down with interior specialist Charlotte van den Bosch. Charlotte’s field within her family’s furniture company Habufa is product and style management, so who’s better to advise us for some great interior tips…
Here are 5 cozy tips from Charlotte:
1. To get into that real Christmas feeling use traditional Christmas colors such as red, gold and green.
2. Add pillows to your couch to create a cozy atmosphere. Be generous, the more the merrier!
3. Treat your feet to a nice shag carpet during these cold days. You can even combine two carpets by overlapping them. Super fun!
4. If you don’t have fireplace you can use a nice basket and fill it with wood. Place the basket on a sheepskin for an extra touch of winter, you’re going to love it.
5. LIGHTS! Use little table lamps to create a nice atmosphere or place some Christmas lights in a nice vase or lantern.

This summer I got in touch with Caroline Sonneville from Sokiline. Caroline is a true artist when it comes to making the prettiest accessories from your favorite four-legged friend.
I guess my excitement was very contagious as I received a gift voucher from my family…
How does it work?
The procedure basically works in 3 steps;
– Pick your item;
– Fill out the order form;
– Cut some hair!
Pick your item
Scrolling down the Sokiline website you see all types of lovely accessories.
You can pick bracelets, earrings, rings but also luxury items. Anything your heart desires.
Next to accessories that contain horse hair, Caroline also designed a line with elegant accessories that will contain the ashes of your horse.
Fill out the order form
Easy like that… fill out the form and send it together with your horse’s hair by post.
On a side note, you don’t necessarily need to dispose of horse hair as Caroline also offers this in various colors.
Cut some hair
The hair you need would have to be fairly long, so you would need to cut it from your horse’s tail. I took a lock of hair from the middle of the tail. Depending on which item you picked you will have to take more or fewer hair. Caroline specifies this per item.
Your package has arrived!
A week later I received two bracelets which looked even better than I had imagined.
I can only recommend having these elegant accessories as it will give your outfit a very personal touch.

The famous Saddle Bag from Dior is back. The small handbag was first introduced in 1999 by John Galliano, former artistic director for Dior. Today the French fashion house has officially re-introduced the bag of the year.
The designer bad is inspired, as says the name, by an English saddle. You close the bag by the shining ‘D’, referring to Dior. After the first launch in 1999 the Saddle Bag evolved into a culticon, also used by Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City.
New creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, decided a few months ago to relaunch the Saddle Bag in the next fall-winter collection.
You can buy the bag online as well as in the shops.
Horses and Fashion it remains a close contact bond. This season the Chloé Girls are dressed in Horse Prints. Recently Natacha Ramsay-Levi made her debut as Chloé’s Creative Director. For the 2018 Spring collection she made a big hit with the streetstyle set.
Looking into the history of the house, Ramsay-Levi discovered the equestrian theme was one that Stella McCartney and Phoebe Philo both loved.
This blazer has been tailored in France from soft brown velvet that’s embroidered with white ponies. It’s a statement look, but one that feels effortless to wear. It’s safe to say Chloé’s newly appointed Creative Director Natacha Ramsay-Levi will be carrying on the brand’s coveted street-style legacy.
The next level – shine to impress – outfit is the velvet horse printed collection in black. The velvet blazer and pants are designed with gilded horse embroidery and the label’s signature gold rings.
All clothes are available at net-a-porter.
