What does any good, proper, aristocratic Englishman or Englishwoman worth their high-society salt know how to do with aplomb? Ride a horse, of course! And in case you haven’t familiarized yourself with Shondaland’s new hit, Bridgerton, the eight-episode series now streaming on Netflix features many of its Regency-era characters on horseback, jaunting across the English countryside or taking a stroll through London’s Hyde Park. While actors like Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page seem perfectly comfortable portraying series leads/love interests Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset while set about a six-foot moving animal, getting the actors in riding shape prior to filming took a lesson or two.
